Design with Nature – an early work by Ian McHarg

January 23, 2014

Recommended for reading:

Design with Nature, a book from 1969 by Ian McHarg.

One of the early systemic approaches to design including ecological and social aspects in the design of landscape and regional planning. This book was one of the pioneering works that fostered the development of Geographic Information Systems.

From this early work we can still get inspired for the sustainable design of our societies.
