Strömungen zerfressen das Eisbollwerk

Ein Bollwerk aus Eis vor der Küste der Antarktis bremst den Anstieg der Meere – Gletscher aus dem Hinterland können nicht daran vorbei. Doch Seltsames geschieht: Die Barriere bricht, obwohl die Luft dort kaum wärmer wird. Forscher meinen nun, die Ursache entdeckt zu haben.
